Emma LeRae came into existence on the planet Earth of all places. She grew up, went to school, and had enough hand eye coordination to begin making things with her hands. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004 with a BA in Studio Art with minors in English and Geology.
She traveled the United States living in various towns and working various jobs and then became more nomadic by ignoring the living and working aspects and just travelling around staying in her tent and car. She graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture in 2012 and received a certification in Natural Science Illustration in 2013.
Somewhere along the way Emma became enamored with dinosaurs which fueled her love for both science and science fiction. She has stated on numerous occasions she would be happy sculpting and drawing dinosaurs for the rest of her life. She lives in Seattle, WA with her wife and five tiny dinosaurs.
Besides her detailed figurative sculptures, natural science illustrations, and various other doodles, she is currently working on a science fiction graphic novel.
